Notes from Buddhist Teachings
I was fortunate to study Buddhism under the tutelage of an inspiring abbot at a nearby monastery. Each session began with a 45-minute meditation, followed by a shared lunch and the chance to offer my service – tending to the monastery's gardens or lending a hand in the kitchen.
This page serves as a treasured repository, holding the notes I meticulously took during those transformative weekly classes. Whilst the class was taught in Mandarin (my native tongue), English flows more readily from my pen. Thus, you'll find the teachings translated into English alongside the original text.
These notes aren't mere class notes; they're a reflection of not only Buddhist philosophy but also my own personal journey. The doodles that dance along the margins and the side notes tucked away offer a glimpse into my evolving understanding. This experience as a whole left an indelible mark on my artistic practice.
